ABSTRACT Currently, orange peels are disposed of as waste after digesting edible parts of oranges. To obtain the maximum quality and quantity of orange peel oil, it is vital that you know the proper drying steps and the appropriate form of the peel, whether in the form of pieces, grated, or powder. Essential oils are extremely concentrated components derived from fruit peels, flowers, leaves, stems, roots, and seeds. These oils are often used for their flavor as well as their medicinal or odiferous effects in a variety of goods including foods, pharmaceuticals, medications, the perfumery industry, and cosmetics. The primary goal of this research is to extract essential oil from orange peels (citrus sinensis) via solvent extraction. The extraction of essential oils from natural sources attracts a lot of attention given its numerous applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and the food industry. Orange peel, a byproduct of the citrus fruit industry, is a useful source of essential oil comprising bioactive compounds like limonene, linalool, and citral. This study focuses on extracting essential oil from orange peel utilizing the Soxhlet extraction procedure and a suitable solvent, such as hexane. This study stresses the use of fruit waste as an environmentally conscious and cost-effective source
