ABSTRACT Custard apple (Annona squamosa) leaves possess antidiabetic and antimicrobial properties, enhance brain activity, improve heart function, and support eye health. In this study, we investigated the antidiabetic potential of Annona squamosa leaves from the Annonaceae family. The leaves were collected from local village areas, sun dried for 3–4 days, and then ground and sieved through mesh sizes #44, #60, #80, and #100. The powdered samples were analyzed for various physicochemical and flow properties. Tablets were formulated using the powder from sieve #80 along with different excipients. These tablets were evaluated for parameters such as hardness, thickness, friability, and weight variation, and were found to be stable. Antimicrobial activity testing revealed that Annona squamosa exhibited activity against Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis but showed no activity against Escherichia coli.
