ABSTRACT This study explores the formulation and evaluation of herbal antidandruff shampoos, emphasizing the benefits of using natural ingredients over conventional chemical treatments. Herbal antidandruff shampoos incorporate botanical extracts and essential oils known for their antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and soothing properties to address dandruff without adverse side effects. Key ingredients such as aloe vera, tea tree oil, green tea, neem, and peppermint oil were assessed for their efficacy in reducing dandruff and improving scalp health. The shampoos were formulated with varying concentrations of these active ingredients and evaluated for physical properties, pH stability, rheological behavior, foaming ability, dirt dispersion, wetting time, solid content, surface tension, and thermal stability. Among the three formulations tested, F1 exhibited the most favorable characteristics, including consistent pH, effective dirt dispersion, and stable foaming properties. The results indicate that herbal antidandruff shampoos provide a sustainable, gentle, and effective alternative to synthetic shampoos, promoting scalp health through natural means.
