Author Name : Bhargav Baurah, Sumit Kumar, Dr. Yusra Ahmad
ABSTRACT Dark circles, a prevalent dermatological issue, are frequently caused by a variety of elements, including genetics, ageing, and insufficient sleep. Despite the fact that many cosmetic items assert to deal with this problem, a secure and efficient transdermal delivery system is still a viable strategy. The purpose of this study was to develop and assess a novel transdermal eye patch containing vitamin B12 for the treatment of dark circles. In the formulation process, a suitable matrix was created utilizing biocompatible polymers, and Vitamin B12 was added as the active component. Different formulations were created and their physicochemical characteristics, such as thickness, moisture content, and homogeneity of drug content, were characterized. Studies on in vitro drug release were done to determine how well the patch will release vitamin B12 over time. To confirm the patches' efficacy and safety for topical application, the skin penetration and stability of the patches were also evaluated
