ABSTRACT
Children, nation’s future,are not receiving adequate consideration from the society. Their body is only treated as a sensual object. Even though they lack such knowledge of sexuality, they become the victim of prostitution. In majority cases, these girls are entrapped by the praise worthy words of cheaters. Both men and women deceive and uses them for sexual trade. It is increasing day by day but no proper action is happening against such devils.Today’s children are not at all safe even at their homes as they are regularly watched by cunning eyes. It is shocking and painful to hear the bitter truth that now a days the victims of forced prostitution and rape are children which is an example of great violation of human rights. Many writers ,especially current writers , take child prostitution as the central theme for their writing. Patricia McCormick , an American writer ,writes a unique work Sold that tells the life of a thirteen year old girl named Lakshmi who becomes the victim of child Prostitution.She loses her joyful and innocence life at her tender age . Society shields the life of prostitutes and always have a wrong notion about their character . Public always address them as character less and immoral women. This paper is to uncover the hidden lifeof a child prostituteand also examineshow a victim of forced prostitution becomes character less and worthless in a society.
