Illicit Trade of Drugs in Dark Web Marketplaces

ABSTRACT

With the increased internet accessibility, the rate of illegal activity has also increased which includes Pornography, online frauds, phishing, virus attacks, illegal trade of drugs etc. The recent surge in illegal drugs trade is due to increasing social media platforms, advancement in technologies (cryptocurrency and Crypto-market), with dark web serving as the platform for the illegal trade. Darknet algorithm hides the user information, keeping it anonymous and making it difficult for the law enforcement agencies to take proper action. This review paper is a multidisciplinary approach to compile and document the available data on the illicit trade of drugs on dark web crypto-market.
