Impact of E-commerce on Emerging Markets with Reference to Indian Markets Especially during Covid-19 Pandemic

E-commerce stands for electronic commerce for doing business online and electronically. E-commerce is anything related to buying and selling of goods and services online through the use of internet. E-commerce involves conducting business using modern communication instruments like money transfer, E-payment, E-data, system telephone, fax, interchange and the internet. It provides multiple benefits to the consumers in form of availability of goods at reasonable price, wider choices and thus saving their valuable time.
In years to come, we will look back at the year 2020 as the year that changed everything. Nowhere else has unrivalled and unforeseen expansion occurred as in the digital and e-commerce sectors, which have flourished amid the COVID-19 crisis.
This research paper encompasses the study of impact of E-commerce on the Indian market during the time span of one to two years when the Covid-19 pandemic was at its peak. The present research paper examines various opportunities of E-commerce and the key challenges that are being faced by customers. The present research paper also highlights the essential growth factors required for E-commerce in Indian market.
