Impact of the Digital Transformation on Retail Supply Chain Management

ABSTRACT

The digital transformation has revolutionized the way retailers manage their supply chain operations. The objective of this  analysis is to examine the impact of digital transformation on retail supply chain management. The study uses a systematic literature review to identify the key digital technologies that have transformed the retail supply chain, including e-commerce platforms, RFID, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The study finds that the adoption of these digital technologies has resulted in several benefits for retailers, including improved supply chain visibility, inventory management, customer experience, and cost savings. However, the study also identifies several challenges that retailers face when implementing digital technologies, such as data security, integration issues, and a shortage of skilled labor. The study concludes with recommendations for retailers to overcome these challenges and fully realize the benefits of digital transformation in their supply chain operations.
