When it comes to the pharmaceutical industry, intellectual property issues play a significant role.these issues primarily revolve around patents that protect drug formulas.while patents help companies recover their investments in research and development,theycan also impact access to affordable medications. Ideas, innovations, and creative expressions on the basis of which there is public desires to grant the status of property are referred to as intellectual property rights (IPR). In order for the inventors or creators of that property to profit commercially from their creative endeavours or reputation, IPR grants them certain exclusive rights. Various forms of intellectual property protection include trademarks, copyrights, and patents. The pharmaceutical industry is a complex topic with different perspectives. In accordance with its area of specialisation, each industry should develop its own IPR policies, management style, strategy, and so forth.
