Internet Technology in the 21st Century: Various Outlooks

ABSTRACT

Internet means network of networks. Internet technology is the ability of the internet to send data and information through various servers. It is very important for different industries, education sectors as well as students or learners. The Internet is used by more than 4.95 billion (2021) people around the world. It is providing us a large number of services after its emergence by making our lives easier and faster. One cannot deny the role of internet in today’s world. The Internet is mainly used in communication, in education, in daily tasks, in research and development, in online shopping, in banking transactions, etc. It is a great platform which is helping the entire world in developing in the 21^stcentury. The Internet is connected with each other through computer/mobile or other related devices with the help of internet protocols. In short, each and every computer is identified by a unique global address which is known as an IP address. Thus, the Internet is a vast network of networks that spread around the world. Data is transferred from computer to computer and from network to network, by using package switching technology and a list of Internet protocols which is called TCP / IP. Here, in this paper we will discuss various components of Internet Technology such as Computer Networks, Network Topologies, Internet Protocols, DNS (Domain name System), different connectivity systems, Security Issues, Firewall, Antivirus Software, Digital Signature, and many more. Thus, the primary objectives of this endeavor are to make the researcher familiar with the term Internet Technology and various components of Internet Technology.This endeavor also outlined the roles and usages of Internet technology in the 21^stcentury.
