Interpreting the Developments and Modifications of Numerous Traditional Art Forms

ABSTRACT The concept of "tradition" has lived many life, which has both enhanced and complicated broad discussions of this crucial idea. Tradition generally connotes well-established folkways, which are frequently perceived as being threatened by the demands of modernity or, more recently, as persisting in a variety of ways through processes of hybridization, from the perspectives of anthropology or popular culture, for example. This usage, which largely describes the social sciences, associates tradition with persistent social customs, and tactfulness is frequently seen as its distinguishing feature.
