ABSTRACT With the increasing demand for livestock management and the increasing knowledge of animal husbandry, monitoring the welfare of animals has become important. Routine animal health monitoring often involves manual assessments, which can be time-consuming and delay the detection of important health problems. This paper describes the design and construction of an IoT-based system designed to monitor the health of animals by continuously monitoring important parameters such as body temperature, movement patterns, and other physical measurements. The system integrates various sensors to collect real-time data on the animal's health, which is then sent to a central server for analysis via wireless networks. Uncertainty information such as temperature or malfunctions trigger alerts that allow for timely intervention. The system architecture is built around a low-cost, energy-efficient system, enabling it to power large-scale deployments. The data collected can also be stored and analyzed over long periods of time, providing better insight into the overall health and productivity of the herd. Preliminary testing shows that the system can reliably detect changes in animal health with high accuracy, providing farmers and veterinarians with powerful tools to improve animal health and productivity.
