IoT-Based Smart Hydroponic System and Monitoring of Plant’s Health through Image Processing

ABSTRACT In recent years, there has been a growing interest in hydroponic systems as a method of growing crops under controlled conditions.The main aim of the project is to Automate the hydroponic system, this can be easily achieved by integrating the hydroponic system with the IoT. The project uses ESP32 for the whole automation process. It will contain all the information on the working of the hydroponic system and the data that has been retrieved from the sensors and the water tank. The proposed setup includes an image processing component that uses a camera to monitor plant health and detect indicators of stress or illness. The images are analyzed with computer vision algorithms to extract relevant information, such as the color and texture of the leaves, which are then used to assess the plant's overall health.The proposed system is an automated system that will overcome the disadvantages of the conventional system.
