ABSTRACT The rapid growth of urbanization and increasing vehicular density have resulted in significant challenges in managing parking spaces efficiently. This paper presents an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Parking System aimed at optimizing parking space utilization and reducing traffic congestion. The proposed system integrates IoT-enabled sensors, cloud computing, and a mobile application to provide a seamless and user friendly parking experience.The system employs real-time data collection from sensors installed in parking lots to detect available spaces. This data is transmitted to a cloud-based server, where it is processed and made accessible to users through a mobile webpage. The webpage allows users to view available parking spaces, reserve spots, minimizing the time spent searching for parking. Additionally, the system incorporates features like automated billing and vehicle tracking for enhanced convenience and security.This study highlights the design, implementation, and performance evaluation of the smart parking system, showcasing its ability to reduce fuel consumption, lower carbon emissions, and improve overall urban mobility. The proposed solution demonstrates how IoT technologies can contribute to creating sustainable and intelligent urban infrastructures
