ABSTRACT
The increasing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) has created a growing demand for efficient, reliable, and user friendly charging systems. Conventional plug-in charging methods often face limitations such as cable wear, safety concerns, and charging inconvenience. Wireless charging technology offers a modern solution by enabling contactless power transfer between the charging infrastructure and the electric vehicle. This research paper presents the design and performance analysis of a wireless charging station for electric vehicles based on inductive power transfer (IPT) technology. The proposed system employs a high-frequency resonant circuit consisting of transmitting and receiving coils to achieve efficient energy transfer across an air gap. The study evaluates parameters such as power transfer efficiency, coil alignment, charging distance, and system stability. Simulation and analytical results demonstrate that the wireless charging system can provide reliable charging performance with improved convenience and reduced maintenance requirements. The proposed model supports future smart transportation systems and contributes toward the advancement of sustainable electric mobility
