ABSTRACT Developing a personal assistant is basically the overall motive of the research, especially for Windows-based operating systems. The inspiration for developing such an idea arises based on the real-life virtual assistants like her Cortana and Siri for their respective Windows and iOS platforms that execute several tasks with mere utterances from a command line and develop a friendly interface. This software is a synchronous process that uses and analyse human- dependent artificial language as the basis for speech recognition and processing. It can perform various tasks and serve end-users according to their requirements. Most of the wizards developed were for the purpose of customising automation to carry out a variety of specific tasks, which ranged from sending emails to managing tasks. With the advancement in technology that has greatly increased human reliance on computers, persons and end-users want their machines to be easier and even more convenient, and even text-to-speech for giving commands and inputs. There was a shift. This shift was the start of speech recognition. This has then led to the generation of requirements that are not only getting input through voice but also doing tasks and giving commands through speech recognition. This is the concept of the personal voice assistant.
