Journey Risk Management (JRM) – Pro-active Technique to Reduce the Journey Risk

ABSTRACT

Journey Risk Management is a virtue-based driver assistance and risk management system for safe and disciplined driving. It is an innovative dimension of research created towards understanding these interactions and devising a pre journey advice module for road. Users undertaking highway journeys. The present JRM study conducted on a specified route from Surat (Gujarat) to Jajpur (Odisha) to identify the hazard & risk associated with the journey on existing route through road mapping and collecting the information of emergency database. After detailed JRM study, we prepared a JRM report having detail information of hazard/risk observed on the route. Strategies are suggested for risk mitigation as per the severity of the risk. This JRM documents is very important & helpful to transporter, especially drivers to tackle any contingency arrived during the journey.
