Legal Aid System: A Comparative Study of India, United States and United Kingdom

ABSTRACT
Although the concept of legal aid is not new, the way we understand it now is as Legal aid is intended to cover the costs of impoverished persons and vulnerable members of the society in order to enable them to care for themselves while participating in and implementing their legal rights. Legal aid is seen as a tool for achieving equality in the eyes of the law, as stated in our Constitution and as varied in the constitutions of other countries. The provision of legal help to persons who cannot afford legal representation or access to the judicial system is known as legal aid. This article primarily focuses on the laws of legal aid and its ideas in India, United States and the United Kingdom. As how are they promoted by the respective countries for the reaching goal of equality to stand before law.
