“Lenthon Dalai: A Traditional Children’s Game of the Bodos in Chirang District of Assam”

ABSTRACT
The Lenthon Dalai game is a children's pastime and recreational game of the Bodos. This game provides mental and physical benefits to the children. There are certain rules and a regulation of the game as well as it also conglomerates reflection of custom and tradition of the Bodo society. This game also reveals certain ecological affinity where children take game articles from nature and select a suitable place surrounded by trees or bushes. Lenthon Dalai game has no social boundary instead children partake without age difference and develop a sense of positive spirit with one set of goal to win the game in team work. It is one of the doors that helps weaker members of the society to progress in his or her future endeavours.
