Maharaja of Jaipur Sawai Ram Singh II and Birchandra Manikya of Tripura took photography as their passion and a tool for intellectual exposure. The paper presents an overview photographic narrative of the two prominent Indian royals, namely Maharaja Ram Singh II and BirChandra Manikya. It highlights their work style, thematic contents and initiatives for promoting photography. They avidly practised and experimented with the medium markingtheir presence in the History of Indian Photography. The paper introspects two individuals together while working in two places but aims for one objective-love for photography.
