Author Name : Dr. Samiksha Rathore, Dr. O.P. Vyas, Dr. Gayatri Prajapati, Dr. Surbhi Jha
ABSTRACT Background: - Hypothyroidism is a common endocrine disorder in which the thyroid does not produce enough thyroid hormone. This slows the body’s metabolic rate, which can cause a range of symptoms such as weight gain, fatigue, constipation and lack of energy. Although hypothyroidism is not described in Ayurvedic literature under a separate disease condition, its signs and symptoms are represented by disorders classified under Kaphaja Nanatmaja Vikara and diseases related to Rasavaha and Medovaha Srotodushti.
