ABSTRACT Aquaculture, the farming of aquatic organisms such as fish, crustaceans, and mollusks, has emerged as a significant sector in Kerala's economy, contributing to food security, employment, and rural development. However, despite its potential, the industry faces numerous marketing challenges that hinder its growth and profitability. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the marketing problems faced by the aquaculture sector in Kerala. It explores issues such as inadequate market infrastructure, lack of branding and standardization, fluctuating prices, and limited access to domestic and international markets. The article also discusses the role of government policies, technological advancements, and stakeholder collaboration in addressing these challenges. By identifying the root causes of these marketing problems and proposing actionable solutions, this analysis aims to contribute to the sustainable development of Kerala's aquaculture industry.
