ABSTRACT Attitude is an evaluation of an attitude object, which may range from extremely positive to extremely negative ideas. They are often a result of experiences or upbringing. They can have a powerful influence over one’s behavior and are enduring in nature. Menstrual Attitude refers to what are an individual’s beliefs about menstruation and how an individual perceives it. Whereas Gender Role Attitude reflects social definitions of femininity and masculinity along with defining gender appropriate behaviors based on culturally specific norms. This study aims at measuring the Menstrual and Gender Role Attitude among Young Adults. The 33- item Menstrual Attitude Questionnaire (MAQ) by J Brooks-Gunn (1980)& D N Ruble & Gender Role Attitude Scale (GRAS) by Eduardo-Cueto, et al (2014) are the tools used for data collection. The data is collected from 100 participants (50 males, 50 females). SPSS is used for analyzing the data. Significant gender difference is expected in both the psychological constructs. The results show that women young female adults have a higher positive attitude towards menstruation and gender roles. There is a high relationship between gender role attitudes and menstrual attitude which reiterate the need for openness in gender related discussion to have a health inter gender relationship.
