ABSTRACT In transdermal medication delivery, microneedles (MNs) represent a paradigm shift that offers a practical solution to the substantial obstacles posed by the cutaneous interface .MNs are examined in this review as a cutting edge strategy for improving the management of dermatological pathologies. It examines the intricate structure of the dermis and draws attention to the drawbacks of conventional transdermal techniques, highlighting the benefit of MNs in delivering medications straight to the subdermal matrix without going via the stratum corneum .The discussion describes the various types of MNs, such as hydrogel, rigid, enclosed, vacant, and soluble forms. All types are distinguished its own advantages as well as uses.
