Microwave Assisted, Solid Supported Synthesis of Some Methyl Isoxazole-4-carboxamide Chalcones

ABSTRACT A simple and efficient condition for Claisen condensation for the synthesis of chalcones involving conventional, microwave irradiation and solvent free conditions in the presence of inorganic solid support has been described. A faster reaction and higher yields are the advantages of present protocol. The structural assignment for these compounds was made by their IR, NMR and MASS spectral and elemental analysis.
