ABSTRACT The kitchen is a crucial space in any household, requiring efficient design for functionality, aesthetics, and safety. This paper explores the modelling and layout of kitchens, focusing on ergonomic principles, spatial organization, and workflow optimization. Various kitchen layouts, including the U-shaped, L-shaped, galley, and island kitchens, are analyzed based on their advantages and limitations. The study highlights the importance of the kitchen work triangle, which ensures an efficient arrangement of the sink, stove, and refrigerator to minimize movement and enhance productivity. Technological advancements, such as smart kitchen systems and modular designs, are also considered in modern kitchen modelling. Factors like ventilation, lighting, material selection, and storage solutions are discussed to create sustainable and user-friendly designs. The research emphasizes the role of digital modelling tools, such as CAD software and 3D visualization, in optimizing kitchen layouts before implementation.By integrating design principles, user preferences, and technological innovations, the study aims to provide insights into creating kitchens that are both functional and aesthetically appealing. Future developments in kitchen modelling may include AI-driven design recommendations and IoT enabled smart kitchen systems to enhance efficiency and convenience.
