Nanomedicine: Revolutionizing Drug Development Systems through Nanotechnology

ABSTRACT Nanotechnology is science of matter and material that pact with particle size in nanometers. Nanoparticles grip great potential as an effective drug delivery system. In this review we discussed new progresses in nanotechnology for drug delivery. several anti-cancer drugs including paclitaxel, doxorubicin, 5-fluorouracil and dexamethasone have been magnificently formulated using nanomaterials. Quantum dots, chitosan, Polylactic/glycolic acid (PLGA) and PLGA-based nanoparticles have also been used for in vitro RNAi transfer.
