Novel Synthesis of pyrimidones, Pyrazolones by using Chalcones

ABSTRACT Chalcones(3)were synthesised by using 4methyl amino benzaldehyde and 1-(3hydroxyphenyl)ethanone by using NaoH as catalyst. 3 was converted into pyrazoles(6) by using hydrazine hydrate, as well as compound 3 was converted into pyrimidones by using urea and thioureaand compounds were screened for antibacterial activity.
