ABSTRACT Multi-tank systems are a common and important aspect of process management that are skillfully used to control liquid levels in a variety of tanks. Depending on the linkage mechanism, these systems can be classified as either interacting or non-interacting variations depending on their tank interconnections. Changes in one tank's level must echo, dynamically affecting the levels of connected tanks, as required by the dynamics of interacting systems. Tanks continue to exist as distinct units in non-interacting systems, which embrace compartmentalized autonomy. This thorough examination reveals several complex control approaches designed specifically for multi-tank systems. The range of topics covered includes a wide range of factors, most notably the complex interactions between tanks, controller settings, and disturbances that work together to choreograph the diverse functioning of multi-tank systems
