ABSTRACT

Search Engines have evolved a lot in this decade. There came a lot of ways to search for a particular thing. We can search using Text, Voice and Image. We can search over the internet using different kinds of images. But there is no way to search images on our local device based on the text content it contains. Usually, we take a lot of screenshots on our mobile devices. It is such a difficult process to search for a particular old screenshot among all those screenshots. Not only screenshot but also other images. This application solves this problem by allowing users to search images on a local device based on the text content of it. It extracts the text in each image and stores it in the database along with the path of the image. When users search with a keyword, it goes through the database and returns the path of the images that matches with the keyword. Users can also search folder specific images in this application. They can add custom comments to any image and can also search with those comments too. This solves the problem of searching images in our local device. It works completely offline, so there is no way for data leakage and no fear of privacy of user data.
