Photophysical Properties of Organic Dyes for Light-Emitting Devices

Author Name : Narveer Mor

ABSTRACT This paper investigates the photophysical properties of organic dyes with potential applications in light-emitting devices (LEDs). Organic dyes have garnered significant attention due to their tunable optical properties, high photostability, and flexibility in device fabrication. We explore the spectral characteristics, fluorescence efficiency, and decay kinetics of various organic dyes, assessing their performance in light-emitting applications. By employing techniques such as UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, and time-resolved photoluminescence measurements, we identify key factors influencing their photophysical behavior. The study also examines the impact of molecular structure on the emission spectra and quantum yield of these dyes. Our findings provide a comprehensive understanding of how different organic dyes can be optimized for enhanced performance in light-emitting devices, paving the way for the development of more efficient and versatile optoelectronic applications.
