Population Structure Prediction on Dink (Double Income - No Kids) Couples in the Philippines

Author Name : Ethan Josh R. Palamos, David Joshua C. Pabl. O, Marie Antoinette L. Rosete

ABSTRACT The study examines the possible effect of the incidences between double-income and no-kids couples and the population growth rate, population size rate, and population structure in the Philippines. The researchers used a quantitative research design and gathered secondary data from the Philippines Statistics Authority, all national censuses and surveys, sectoral statistics, community-based statistics, consolidation of selected administrative recording systems, and compilation of national accounts. Moreover, the researchers utilized the Pearson correlation model to analyze the collected panel data. The researchers found that population growth rate, population size rate, and the prevalence of double-income, no-kids couples should significantly influence the population structure in the Philippines. Moreover, the study reveals that double-income, no-kids couples significantly impact population growth, household composition, and socio-economic trends, necessitating their recognition as a distinct demographic group. These findings have profound implications for urban planning, policymaking, and societal development. Notably, double-income, no-kids couples' unique needs, and behaviors affect industries such as housing, travel, entertainment, and workforce dynamics. The study advocates for integrating the dynamics of double-income, no-kids couples into demographic analyses, offering valuable insights for accurate population predictions and informed decision-making in various sectors.
