ABSTRACT It is drawn from the 12th century; it alludes to the broader disillusionment of the post independent Indian politics. The play deals the powerful social movements 12th century. Lankesh was presented his vision of a casteless society. The paper attempts to remove this social evil of caste system which has been failing the Indian culture till today. The paper focuses the characters of Basavanna, who dreams of a casteless society, is a spiritual leader who wants to bring about a change in the mindset of the people.
