Pre-Engineered Building Design: Using Tekla Structural Designer

ABSTRACT

This paper is about the design of an economic light weight,260.13 sq.m pre-engineered warehouse steel building using Tekla structural designer. Primary steel sections have been analysed and designedby design code IS 800:2007 using Tekla structural designer. Hot rolled sections or the primary members like column, beam, roof panel, tension members, mezzanine floor andbracings are analysed during design process. The major loads like dead load, live load, roof-imposed load, floor loads are taken into consideration during analysis. To keep the structure economical and light weight different types of sections had been checked during the analysis process.
