Preparation and Evaluation of Fenugreek Tablet as a antidiabetic Tablet
Author Name : Sangale Saurabh Bapu, Swapnil Arjun
ABSTRACT
Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) is a widely used herb in both culinary and medicinal practices. Its seeds are rich in bioactive compounds, including alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, and fiber, which contribute to its therapeutic properties. Studies have demonstrated that fenugreek may offer various health benefits, such as improving glycemic control, reducing cholesterol levels, and supporting lactation in breastfeeding women. Additionally, fenugreek exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial effects, which may contribute to its potential role in managing chronic diseases. Despite the promising findings, further clinical trials are needed to establish the long-term efficacy and safety of fenugreek for specific health conditions. Although generally considered safe, fenugreek may cause mild side effects, including gastrointestinal discomfort or allergic reactions, particularly in sensitive individuals. Therefore, caution is advised when incorporating fenugreek into treatment regimens, especially for those with underlying health issues.
