Preparation of Wound Healing Ointment Using Calotropis Gigantea

ABSTRACT Evaluating the wound healing property of various extracts of Calotropis gigantea leaf by evaluating their antimicrobial activity by agar well diffusion method. Extract of Calotropis gigantea leaf can be used inwound healing. It can be applied on cuts, abscess, and wounds. Due to its antimicrobial activity, it prevents infection and aids in healing of these wounds. The wound healing activity of ethanol, petroleum ether, chloroform, and aqueous extracts of Calotropis gigantea leaf and flower were evaluated against the organisms isolated from the infected wound sample. Orbital shaker was used to extract the leaf and flower extract using different solvents. The organisms were isolated from the infectious wound sample.
