ABSTRACT Background: Musculoskeletal disorders related to work (WMSDs) are a common occupational health issue for school teachers because of extended periods of standing, repetitive actions, and insufficient ergonomic assistance. These conditions often influence the lower back, neck, shoulders, and upper extremities, greatly affecting teachers' quality of life, efficiency, and job contentment. Even though there is increasing awareness of WMSDs among educators, effective intervention strategies such as physiotherapy and ergonomic management are still not thoroughly investigated. Objective: This review is intended to analyze the occurrence of WMSDs among educators, recognize factors that contribute to these conditions, and evaluate the efficacy of physiotherapy treatments and ergonomic adjustments in managing and preventing such disorders. Methodology: A review of the literature was performed by searching electronic databases including PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science. Research conducted from 2010 to 2024 that examines WMSDs in teachers and physiotherapy treatments was incorporated. Studies examining prevalence, risk factors, physiotherapy treatment methods, and ergonomic adjustments were reviewed. Research focusing on pharmaceutical or surgical treatments was not included.
