ABSTRACT Pyrimidines, a class of heterocyclic compounds are fundamental structural motifs in numerous biologically active molecules and pharmaceuticals. This research represents a novel synthesis method for pyrimidines, aiming to enhance the efficiency and diversity of accessible compounds for drug discovery. This approach integrates innovative synthetic strategies, leveraging both traditional organic chemistry techniques and modern methodologies such as transition metal-catalyzed reactions and cascade reactions and a wide array of pyrimidine derivatives with diverse substitution patterns which can be readily accessed. The significance of this research lies in the streamlined synthesis of pyrimidines, facilitating the exploration of new chemical space for drug development and offering promising avenues for the discovery of novel therapeutics targeting various diseases
