Quinazoline Analogue As A Most Potent Phopshodiesterase Inhibitors
Author Name : Ajay Kharche, Dr. Vikas Jain
ABSTRACT
Purine bases and their bioisostericanalogs are widely used as building blocks in combinatorial chemistry. Recently a greatnumber of fused pyrimidine derivatives became known as potential drug molecules against various types of diseases. One of the mostimportant compound families are quinazolinones. The quinazolinone moiety is a building block for approximately 150 naturallyoccurring alkaloids and drugs. The natural quinazolinones and their synthetic analogs possess a variety of biological activities, including PDE inhibitory activity, anticonvulsant, bronchodilator, anti-inflammatory & many more. In the present work wesynthesized some quinazolines fused with thienopyrimidines and evaluated them for possible Phosphodiesterase Inhibitory Activity.
Key Words:Quinazoline, Thienopyrimidine, Xanthine, PDE Inhibitors.
