ABSTRACT

Mukhapak is described by Charaka as “Mukhapak,” while Sushruta and Vagbhata refer to it as “Sarvasar.” It can be correlated with stomatitis, an inflammation of the oral mucosa affecting the lips, tongue, and cheeks. Though common and often recurrent, stomatitis can significantly disturb eating, speaking, and daily activities. It may result from excessive intake of hot, spicy, and oily foods, poor oral hygiene, nutritional deficiencies, infections, allergic reactions, or tobacco use.
