Review of the Pharmacodynamics and Pharmacokinetics of Drakshasava

ABSTRACT
Drakshasava is a classical fermented Ayurvedic formulation traditionally used as a Balya, Dipana, Pachana, Raktavardhaka and Rasayana agent. The present review evaluates its pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic aspects by correlating Ayurvedic principles with modern pharmacological concepts.
