ABSTRACT Rapid advancements in retail technology have spurred the proliferation of self-checkout systems designed to boost customer satisfaction and operational productivity. This initiative proposes a cutting-edge self-checkout payment system that combines RFID technology with mobile app integration. The system incorporates a smart shopping cart equipped with an RFID reader that detects product tags when items are added. This information is then sent to a mobile application through a QR code link, showing up-to-date product details, costs, and current shopping inventory. The proposed method aims to eliminate traditional checkout queues, minimize manual labor, and enhance the shopping experience. The key obstacles addressed include smooth RFID incorporation, dependable data synchronization, and creation of a user-friendly app interface. This project also investigates the potential effects on retail operations and customer interactions, providing insights into the practical implementation of new technologies in everyday shopping environments. The results contribute to understanding the feasibility of self-checkout systems and set the stage for future innovations in retail technology.
