ABSTRACT

The purpose of this project is to create a natural and effective hand wash using a variety of herbal powders such as Tulsi, Ritha shikaki, Neem, Aloe vera, Guar Gum, Sandalwood, Mentha, Nagarmutha, and Sodium lauryl sulphate. The aim is to minimize any potential side effects while still providing a thorough cleaning of hands, as hands are aprimary site for infection. The use of handwash is particularly important in industrial settings where there is a high risk of microbial infection among children and employees in the pharmaceutical industry. The hand wash was formulated to have good physical properties and effectively clean hands, making it an ideal antiseptic for hand washing purposes. The final product was evaluated based on its color, odor, pH, viscosity, and stability.
