ABSTRACT The Parliament of India is the supreme legislative body, and its main function is to make laws for India. This paper focuses on the primary function of the Parliament of India to make laws on subjects under its jurisdiction. The Parliament of India has a significant role to play in the governance of the Indian constitution. This paper reveals the functions of Parliament cover law-making, executive oversight, financial control, constitutional amendments, electoral, and judicial roles.
