ABSTRACT
The majority of hospitals in India still use the manual method, which involves using paper and books, to keep records. Significant drawbacks of manual record keeping include the need for large storage spaces and challenges retrieving records. Significant drawbacks of manual record keeping include the need for large storage spaces and problems retrieving records. Both on-premises and cloud-based databases can be used to store confidential data about patients. Hackers who can launch an immediate attack may be available in that data. That stored data may include hackers who can quickly attack. Medical documents like ECG reports, x-ray reports, scan reports, ECHO reports, discharge summaries, monthly prescriptions, etc., are essential to protect the patient's confidential medical data. This paper introduces a DCT Based Steganography technique that combines encryption to protect the patient's medical data. The proposed method allows a medical image to hide its corresponding patient's confidential medical data with a secret code. The decryption technique retrieves personal data without loss using an appropriate secret code. It is found that the proposed method provides high security for confidential medical data without distortion.
