ABSTRACT:  Nanotechnology is the basis of self cleaning textiles. Now a days we can have dirt, stain free clothing without paying heavy laundry bills, along with special properties life anti bacterial, anti- odor etc. The main focus here is to discuss the two main approaches; Lotus effect and Photocatalysis, used to bring out self cleaning property of textiles. In this paper we have studied different methods and evaluation techniques to achieve self cleaning property.
