ABSTRACT This paper presents an "AI-Based Accident Detection and Alert System" designed to enhance road safety and improve emergency response times following vehicle collisions. In densely populated regions, timely medical assistance can significantly reduce fatalities resulting from accidents. The proposed system integrates various hardware components, including Arduino microcontrollers, GSM modules, GPS modules, and sensors such as accelerometers and vibration sensors. Upon detecting sudden changes in vehicle motion— indicative of an accident—the system immediately activates the GSM module to send an alert message containing the GPS coordinates of the accident site. This message is formatted as a Google Maps link, facilitating quick navigation for emergency responders. Additionally, the system includes an SOS button for urgent medical situations and a reset button to prevent false alarms. By leveraging real-time data collection and analysis, the system ensures that vehicle owners can track their vehicles and receive prompt notifications, enhancing the overall efficiency of emergency services. The architecture of the system aims to minimize response times, potentially saving lives and reducing the severity of injuries. This research underscores the importance of advanced technology in accident detection and highlights the system's potential to transform road safetymeasures.
