ABSTRACT

The process of inspecting or verifying the stock that is actually kept in a company, institution, etc. is known as stock verification. It must give an audit of the current stock valuation.Information about stock discrepancies is also derived from it.Physical stock verification's primary goal is to analyse the accuracy of stock records, confirm the validity of the values contained in the stock record, and find any discrepancies.Physical stock verification was done manually by comparing each record in-stock book with physical assets present. This method consumes lot of time and sometimes there is a chance of a wrong entry in the record.The proposed system compares the data in the SAP with the uploaded data and gives a detailed report of the stock verification along with discrepancies if any. Based on the report, the concerned authority needs to take action and the same needs to be uploaded to SAP.The technology helps to access data asset category wise / department wise / purchase date wise.
