ABSTRACT Oxomolybdenum complexes have attracted significant attention in coordination chemistry due to their versatile oxidation states, structural diversity, and catalytic relevance in oxidation reactions. The presence of nitrogen and sulfur donor ligands enhances the stability and redox flexibility of molybdenum centers, making such complexes promising candidates for biomimetic and industrial applications. The present study focuses on the synthesis, structural characterization, thermal behavior, and catalytic activity of selected oxomolybdenum complexes containing mixed N,S-coordinating ligands. The complexes were synthesized under controlled laboratory conditions and characterized using spectroscopic techniques such as IR, UV–Visible spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. Thermal stability was examined through thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), while catalytic efficiency was evaluated in model oxidation reactions. The results indicate that ligand environment significantly influences structural geometry, decomposition pattern, and catalytic performance. These findings contribute to understanding the structure–activity relationship in oxomolybdenum chemistry.
