Author Name : Ms. Arockya Merlin. M, Dr Sowmiya L M

ABSTRACT

“There are certain life lessons that you can only learn in the struggles.”

-Idowu Koyenikan

Paulo Coelho de Souza, a prominent modern Brazilian novelist, and lyricist who is genuinely concerned about human pleasure and self-fulfillment, wrote Eleven Minutes in 2003. This tale is inspired by a true story of a Brazilian prostitute who discussed sex and desire. The purpose of this article is to look at the issues that the protagonist Maria faced and the lessons she learned from them. After studying the novel and learning about the world of prostitution, the author produced Eleven Minutes, a feminist novel about moral development and genderism. He did not glorify prostitution; instead, he wanted to apply the concept to help people comprehend their power and identify their identities.
